70. Another brilliant save from Pontus

It looks a certain goal as a corner is headed back across goal where John Marquis rose to head in from close range but Pontus Dahlberg made a superb reaction stop to keep it out on his line.

Matt Smith replaces John Bostock, who has limped off.

The ball is tossed around on the edge of the box for what seems like an age until Pompey substitute Michael Jacobs brings it down and curls for the far bottom corner. But Pontus Dahlberg gets down superbly to tip it wide.

67. All gone a bit niggly

Referee Carl Boyeson is not particularly keeping a good grip on this game and it’s starting to have an impact on the flow of things.

John Bostock, deliberate handball

John Bostock lofts a decent ball towards the back post where Tommy Rowe chests down and volleys on goal but is pulled up for a handball.

Ro-Shaun Williams was beaten far too easily by Gassan Ahadme who pushed a low ball into the middle which Ronan Curtis flicked on goal, with Pontus Dahlberg saving well.

3.55pm Arguably the best half of the season so far from Rovers

It was a tricky start to the game for Rovers as they got up to the tempo set by the visitors but they were the better side for a good 20 to 25 minutes in the run up to half time.

They’ve controlled possession really well and forced Portsmouth deep on quite a few occasions. And the most positive factor has been the upping of threat from Rovers overall.

They’ve got bodies forward and inside the box to really give the opposition something to think about.

Good so far. Just need the goal.

3.50pm That’s the break

And it’s goalless at half time
