Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances from the clash at the Keepmoat.
5. Reece James 6
What looked to be a severe injury for the full back in the stroke of half time somewhat marred the game. Beforehand he looked more than a little shaky at times in his own half but pushed well up the pitch. | JPIMedia Photo: Marie CaleyJPIMedia
6. Ben Whiteman 8
Always had an air of calm about his play, particularly when Rovers needed it the most after Bolton scored. But he provided some real moments of quality in the first half as Rovers looked to unlock a rigid Bolton defence. | JPIMedia Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTDJPIMedia
7. Ben Sheaf 7
Played some superb football in the first half as Rovers pushed forward, picking out some excellent passes. Sloppy at times in the second period, hardly helped by pressure from the home support, and could take some of the blame for Bolton’s goal. | JPIMedia Photo: Gareth Williams/AHPIX LTDJPIMedi
8. Kieran Sadlier 8
Consistently got the better of full back Brandon Fleming in another very good performance on the right side. He was Rovers’ best bet of creating something in the first half. He also tracked back very well. | JPIMedia Photo: Gareth Williams/AHPIX LTDJPIMedi
