Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the Keepmoat. Let us know what you think on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
9. Matt Smith 7
He brought the energy and determination Rovers so sorely needed throughout the game. He was busy across the pitch but lacked the assistance he needed to make it count. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
10. Josh Sims 5
His quietest performance to date for Rovers as he struggled to get on the ball and did not produce nearly enough threat when he did. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
11. Fejiri Okenabirhie 6
He saw very little of the ball inside the final third. He was often caught flatfooted when passes were played into him and he was bullied off the ball at times by Sunderland’s imposing three man back line. But he was in the right place at the right time to snatch the leveller. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
12. Taylor Richards 5
Sent on to add physicality to Rovers’ side of the battle but looked rusty from his time on the sidelines. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
