AJ Greaves has been sent off for a lunging tackle on Walsall’s Jack Earing.

The manner he jumped into the challenge didn’t really leave the referee with much choice.

...and it feels like this may well jinx things but the tie will go straight to penalties in the event of a draw after 90 minutes.

77. What a strike. What a save

Aidan Barlow almost got his Rovers account up and running with an unbelievable effort.

AJ Greaves lofted the ball into the box, Tom Anderson headed it square and Barlow connected with an overhead kick that seemed destined for the top corner until Walsall keeper Carl Rushworth tipped it wide acrobatically.

It would have been some goal.

Rovers are on top here.

74. A decent chance

Some decent threat from Rovers once again and they arguably should be in front. Aidan Barlow worked the ball well across the box, Kyle Knoyle got a deflected shot away that spun out to the on-rushing Branden Horton whose connection on his strike was poor and it scuffed into the hands of Carl Rushworth.

65. Best chance so far

It was a good counter attack from Rovers and one that really should have been finished off.

They won the ball back in their own half and surged forward, with Aidan Barlow carrying the ball to the corner of the box. The former Manchester United youngster squared, looking for Omar Bogle but it ran all the way through to Branden Horton who fired on goal but saw Carl Rushworth save. He really should have scored.

A Rovers corner is only half cleared and takes an age to fall to Dan Gardner who strikes the ball on the volley but slices well wide.
