A third win on the bounce tonight would be a first for Danny Schofield as Doncaster Rovers boss.

Doncaster have won back-to-back matches on three occasions under Schofield but have yet to go further under the former Huddersfield Town chief.

This evening’s opponents Barrow have just one win in their last eight matches and Rovers could move back into the top seven for the first time since September – and first time under Schofield – with three points.

Key Events

  • Doncaster looking for their third win on the bounce
  • Barrow have just one win in their last eight matches
  • Rovers could move back into the play-offs with a win

Excellent from James Brown

Another player who looks like a good find, the wing-back plays a disguised pass into the path of Miller but Paul Farman smothers down low before the striker can shoot.

At the other end Barrow register their first effort on target through Billy Waters, whose strike is comfortably stopped by Jonathan Mitchell.

Robbie Gotts booked

He leaves a high boot on James Maxwell, who looks to be OK. Barrow bringing a bit more pressure in this second half but no save for Jonathan Mitchell to make as of yet. Doncaster yet to create anything either.

Big block from Olowu

That must have stung in this weather but the defender charges down an effort from the edge of the box which cannons off his back.

Barrow sub at the break

Elliot Newby replaces Tyrell Warren. Rovers get us going again.

A very dominant display from the hosts, who leads thanks to James Maxwell’s second goal of the season.

Good counter-attack

Molyneux escapes and gets all the way into the box before two Barrow defenders combine to disposses him just as he was about to pull the trigger. Unlucky.

Great run from Molyneux

He takes on a few players and tries to find the bottom corner from the edge of the box but Paul Farman is equal to it.

Sam McCelland heads wide from a free-kick. Could be Barrow’s first effort in this half, which has petered out a bit.

Kyle Hurst and Luke Molyneux play a couple of great one-two’s to work the ball into the box but Hurst just can’t get the ball under control and Barrow snuff out the danger. Still all Doncaster. Barrow struggling here.
