Doncaster Rovers’ horrendous form continued as they lost 2-1 at relegation-threatened Bristol Rovers.

James Coppinger gave Rovers a 13th minute lead with a smart finish.

However, the home side, who came into the game on the back of five straight defeats, fought back to win it with goals either side of half time from Luke McCormick.

Doncaster have lost nine of their last 14 games and are now five points adrift of the play-off positions.

A bright start, then a battle, then a whimper - and it all adds up to a very poor defeat for Doncaster Rovers.

They needed fight this afternoon and all they got was huff and puff.

This one is going to take some getting over. Very disappointing.

Another decent finish from the Bristol Rovers midfielder but a poor goal from a Rovers perspective.

It came from a free kick to Rovers close to half way which they played short, put themselves under pressure and ultimately gave the ball away. Bristol Rovers pushed forward through Zain Walker, who squared across the box for McCormick to fire high into the goal.

Omar Bogle has gone into the book for a foul on Jack Baldwin.

He genuinely was no where near the Bristol Rovers defender

Fejiri Okenabirhie touches the ball home from close range but he’s flagged offside.

That was a great move from Rovers. Jason Lokilo raced clear but was forced back after checking his run. He chipped to over where Reece James touched it out wide for Taylor Richards to slam across goal to Okenabirhie.
