Key Events

  • Doncaster could leapfrog their Yorkshire rivals with a win
  • Bradford form: D-D-D-W-W-L Doncaster form: L-L-W-W-W-L

Not bad, Doncaster still well in this and grew into the game as the half wore on.

Bradford’s quality is evident and they were a threat without forcing Mitchell into many saves. The visitors did drop off towards the end of the first period and are definitely beatable.

Subs could be very important for both teams today.

Harry Lewis forced into a save

He tips James Brown’s low shot wide with 44 gone. Defender had been found by Ben Nelsons cross-field ball and was trying to pick out the bottom corner.

Charlie Lakin’s cross hits Brad Halliday on the hand at speed. Appeals go in but ref waves play on. It did hit him very fast in his defence.

After Adam Clayton had set him free with a clearance over the top. Tame effort in a tame first half so far.

Good recover from Ben Close

His pass to Biggins is intercepted and Bradford break into the box but he’s there’s to cut out Andy Cook’s attempted pass to a teammate and wins a goal kick.

Yellow for Joseph Olowu

Frustrating one for the home fans, he seemed to get the ball. A meaty challenge though and clearly one the ref didn’t like the look of.

Harry Lewis called into action

He tips a Sam Stubbs header off his own bar after Ben Close’s free-kick caused Bradford a problem.

Nelson then hooks the ball back for Tommy Rowe from the corner but the club captain can’t quite connect.

Michael van Gerwen and Jesus in the away end

According to the Bradford fans anyway. Got to feel for the two unfortunate stewards. Bless him, Jesus seems to be taking it in good spirits.

Game has petered out a bit, as you might have guessed. So much hype and so far it’s een an anti-climax.

They’re holding their shape well and keeping Bradford at arms length, which sees Richie Smallwood try a Hollywood ball that fails pretty epicly and drifts harmlessly wide.
