Harry Clifton’s fortuitous first half goal was the only difference between the two sides in a game that won’t live long in the memory. Chances were at a premium but Grant McCann’s side did enough to collect the victory as they responded well to last week’s loss at Newport.
Here’s how we rated the players today:

5. Brandon Fleming 7
Hull loanee was put in for his full debut and thoroughly impressed. Put his foot in and made clean challenges, although was perhaps fortunate to stay on the field first half when he deliberately brought down the dangerous Edwards, who was through on goal. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD

6. Patrick Kelly 7
First league start and the West Ham man didn't disappoint. Grew into the contest and wasn't afraid to pick up the ball in dangerous positions or put his foot in. Promising signs. Photo: HOWARD ROE

7. Owen Bailey 6
Nothing spectacular but did the dirty side of things well and kept things ticking over in the engine room. Tried his best to get forward as much as possible. Photo: HOWARD ROE

8. Harry Clifton 8
Notched the opener thanks to quick thinking as he pressed the Morecambe goalkeeper and saw the ball ricochet straight into the net. Diligent all game and really caught the eye here. Impressive showing. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
