Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances against the Imps. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
5. Danny Amos 7
Given the nod at left back after his impressive midweek cameo. He looked a little rusty at times with his decision making at the back but was not unduly troubled and pushed forward well when equired. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
6. Ben Whiteman 9
A dominant figure in the middle of the park, whether Rovers were in possession or not. He chased back well to cover but was also key in moving the ball forward with real accuracy. And then there was his goal, a move he started and then finished with a sublime volley. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
7. Reece James 7
Played into the sitting midfield role alongside Whiteman. Not as neat on the ball as he typically is but his covering work was very good. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
8. Jon Taylor 8
Turned in an outstanding defensive effort with his tracking back and blocking key, while his ability to carry the ball helped ease pressure. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
