Rovers goalkeeper Jonathan Mitchell saved Gassan Ahadme’s first half penalty and it proved to be a key moment in the game.
Joe Dodoo headed the home side in front shortly after Mitchell’s save and Josh Martin sealed the victory with a well-worked goal on 75 minutes.

Filled in at left back but lacked a bit of confidence and conviction. Photo: Liam Ford/AHPIX LTD
6. John Bostock 6
Kept Rovers ticking over but got caught in possession occasionally and his passing wasn't as on point as in recent games. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
7. Adam Clayton 7
Measured and authoritative in the middle of the park. He's added just the sort of qualities that have been lacking all season. Photo: Liam Ford/AHPIX LTD
8. Matt Smith 6
Put another good shift in for the team but he played in a slightly different role in a 4-3-3 and wasn't as noticeable. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
