Nuneaton Borough vs Doncaster Rovers LIVE
Key Events
- New Rovers striker Josh Andrews to play 45 minutes this afternoon, says Gary McSheffrey
- Several trialists also set to feature again for Doncaster
Nuneaton nick the ball back in their own half and try an audacious effort, which doesn’t miss by much.
Louis Jones was beaten there (we hadn’t even realised he was on the pitch!). The home side’s best chance this half, which Rovers have largely controlled.
Kieran Agard is on
First taste of action in pre-season for Agard, who missed the end of last term with a torn hamstring. He’s on for George Miller.
Another Rovers switch
Tomlin is replaced by the other trialist, who is wearing the number 14 shirt. Not sure on his identity.
Rovers break
Josh Andrews uses his man strength (he’s 20) to wrestle the ball of a Nuneaton player and finds Tomlin, who feeds Dunne out wide.
The ball in should be better with three Rovers players waiting, but it’s sliced over the bar.
Josh Andrews is coming on for Reo Griffiths. And he is a big target man.
Back under way and Andrews is straight into the action finding Miller, who volleys over the bar.
Good move
Another chance for George Miller, who is well found by Tommy Rowe’s flick over the top, but his half-volley is wide.
And that’s half time.
‘It’s a f****** friendly'
A bit of effing and jeffing after Nuneaton’s number 7 takes a swipe at Dunne with the ball running out of play.
Ro-Shaun Williams is loudest with his condemnation. Adam Clayton has also been having words with one or two opposition players.
Clayton shows his mettle
He teaches Nuneaton’s tricky number 7 a lesson with a meaty challenge after he clattered into Cieran Dunne.
Another drinks break, can’t be long until half time.
Nice work from Rovers
Tomlin starts the move (again); produces a nice touch to shrug off a challenge then finds Miller over the top. Nothing comes of it on this ocassion.
He’s been Rovers’ most creative player this half - and possibilty their best.
