But Rovers skipper Tom Anderson insists a fifth round tie against either Liverpool and Manchester United has barely been mentioned among the squad.

The quirks of this most unique of seasons saw the fifth round of the FA Cup drawn at the same time as the fourth, ensuring Rovers were presented with their potential path to the quarter finals of the competition, which would take them to either Anfield or Old Trafford should they triumph at the London Stadium.

But Anderson says that is not even being considered a possibility, with Rovers fully focused on producing what it will take to down another Premier League outfit in on-form West Ham.

“Obviously, we all saw the draw and who we could get,” he said.

“But without being too cliche, you don’t want to think about that yet because that’s not a possibility right now.

“The only thing in front of us at the minute is West Ham.

“We’ve been putting in the work and you never know. We’ll give it our all.

“Every game you go into, you have to believe it is winnable and we will be doing that on Saturday.

“We’ll go into it ready, organised and we’ll see where it takes us.”

Anderson does not believe Rovers will need to veer too far away from their usual approach to matches to give them a chance to cause an upset this afternoon.

But he says concentration levels must not dip at any time.

“It’s a great chance for us to test ourselves and show where we’re at,” he said.

“We just have to go in there and do what we’ve been doing on the ball, play like we can.

“And off the ball we need to make sure we’re switched on all the time. Even when the ball is out of play, don’t switch off and make sure we’re together for the 95 minutes, 120 minutes or whatever it takes.

“We just have to make sure we stay switched on and we’ll give it our all.”
