Okenabirhie suffered an ankle injury this month, causing him to miss the games with Accrington Stanley and Hull City.

Boss Darren Moore revealed the striker would have been among the substitutes for Tuesday’s clash with Blackpool which was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

And Okenabirhie played 45 minutes in a behind-closed-doors game against Scunthorpe United on Wednesday.

“Fej is fine and well,” Moore said.

“He’s trained really well today and he’s available.

“He would have been involved on Tuesday. He had 45 minutes in the behind-closed-doors game which was great for him to blow off the cobwebs.

“Barring we don’t get any hiccups in the next 48 hours we should have everybody available to go into that Ipswich game.”

Okenabirhie’s fellow striker Tyreece John-Jules continues to recover with parent club Arsenal after suffering a hamstring injury last month.

And Moore says there is currently no definitive timescale on his return to action.

“Tyreece is still being rehabilitated but he’s making wonderful progress as far as we’re aware,” he said.

“I believe they’re working around his hamstring to strengthen it and he’s responding, which is great news.

“As we know, with these injuries, it’s a lengthy process but he’s making progress.

“As for a diagnosed time when he may return, it would be too early for us to say really.

“As long as he continues to make progress, we’ll keep tabs with Arsenal to see how he’s getting on.”
