Niall Ennis admits his most recent injury at Doncaster Rovers has taught him lessons about how to handle himself after matches.

The on loan Wolverhampton Wanderers striker was out for six weeks with a hamstring injury and feels the length of his absence could have been reduced if he had undertaken smarter recovery work.

And he says he will take the lessons into the rest of his career.

“It’s about learning how to be more robust,” he said.

“I take the injury as a lesson and sometimes you have to work more on your recovery and things like that.

“Maybe, on a day off, do I need to go to a gym and stretch and that kind of thing.

“It’s about learning and improving my body.”
