How Doncaster Rovers journalists fared with their 2020/21 League One predictions

We’ve dug out the predictions made by our Doncaster Rovers writer Liam Hoden, sports writer Paul Goodwin and BBC Radio Sheffield’s Tom Biltcliffe before a ball was kicked in League One.

They were each asked to predict the top two and bottom four in order, the winner of the play-offs and where Rovers would finish in the table.

A point has been awarded for every team they correctly predicted would be promoted or relegated. A bonus point has been awarded for correctly predicting the final position.

Here’s how they did, with the points in brackets. There’s a tie for first place although Paul was closer with his Rovers prediction.

Top two: Portsmouth, Fleetwood

Play-off winners: Hull City (1)

Relegated: Burton, AFC Wimbledon, Shrewsbury, Rochdale (1)

Rovers: 6th

Points: 2
