The striker has made a good impression during his first few appearances since his move from Charlton Athletic, providing Rovers with a strong physical presence in attacking areas as well as a real focal point for the team.

Moore has been delighted with the 29-year-old’s contributions so far and believes the goals will begin to flow for him sooner rather than later.

“All strikers want a goal,” Moore said. “They want to feel the back of the net and hopefully that comes soon for Omar.

“Already we’ve seen that he’s brought things to us that we’re really grateful for and he’s shown exactly why we brought him to the club.

“Certainly at this level we feel he’s capable. He leads the line really well.

“He’ll be a big player for us for the second half of the season.”

Bogle will compete with Fejiri Okenabirhie to lead the line for Rovers and Moore feels the signing of the former Cardiff City forward has given him a different option for his attacking ranks.

“He’s got that bit of experience, the knowledge, the nous, that hold-up play, good mobility, he brings people into play,” he said.

“With all those attributes, and the fact if we get him into the right areas he’ll scores, it bodes well for a striker at the level we’re at.

“He’ll probably feel that even though he’s in the team and he’s contributing well in our eyes, that he’s still blowing off a few cobwebs.

“But apart from that he’s doing great.”
