Despite the treatment room emptying out slight, we take a look at the injury and selection concerns within their bulging squad as Grant McCann's side target a strong end to the season.
5. George Miller
Forward Miller started the season brightly, scoring two goals in the opening three games. But he then suffered a serious knee injury and speaking last month, Rovers' chief Grant McCann delivered an ominous update. "We probably won't see George again until the middle of next season, somewhere around January (2025) time I believe," said McCann. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
6. Conor Carty
The Bolton Wanderers loanee only made five appearances for Rovers before picking up a knee injury against Bradford City last week. He appeared to be barged into the advertising boards and just days later, Grant McCann confirmed he's now returned to Lancashire after the loan agreement was terminated. McCann said: "Conor has done his ACL. It will keep him out for some time and he will now go back to Bolton. It has not ended well, that little nudge at Bradford. He has twisted his knee in the grass and it is so disappointing. It is really frustrating for Conor." Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
7. Zain Westbrooke
The influential midfielder underwent surgery on a thigh muscle tear late last year. Prior to that he had featured 24 times in all competitions. Issuing an update on the 27-year-old recently, McCann said: "Zain is doing well and hopefully he'll be back by the end of February or early March." Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
8. Caolan Lavery
You have to go way back to March last year for Lavery's last appearance for Rovers. He underwent a third knee operation in just eight months and is undergoing rehab. But McCann recently suggested that Rovers may not see the 31-year-old again before the season ends, and with his contract set to expire this summer it could be that he's played his final game for the club.
