Football rumours: Manchester United might not get Real Madrid star Ramos, but Barcelona’s Pedro could be new target

Manchester United are filling the football gossip columns in both England and Spain, with one long running saga apparently coming to an end, and a new potential transfer emerging.

The will-he won’t-he Sergio Ramos story appears to be ending, with the Daily Mail reporting that the centre-half is set to sign a new deal at Real Madrid.

It has been thought that United would refuse to sanction David de Gea’s transfer to the Bernabeu, unless Ramos came the other way.

There still may be some more football traffic between the two countries this summer, however.

Marca believe that Pedro is lining up a departure from Barcelona, with Manchester United interested in the £21.4m rated forward.

Elsewhere, London Evening Standard report that Tottenham are to make a £15m bid for West Brom’s Saido Berahino.

The 21-year-old is joined by Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie on the Spurs wish list.

The Mirror say that Palace are eyeing up Swansea skipper Ashley Williams.

And Serie A side Carpi could be preparing to take Fabio Borini from Liverpool, according to Sky Sport Italia.
