Rovers had several players in for trials last month, with some playing matches for the U23s.

Attacking midfielder Pereira - who spent last season in MLS with Atlanta United - particularly impressed with a goalscoring turn in the U23s’ win over Aston Villa.

But boss Darren Moore revealed no contracts will be offered at this time.

“We don’t think that we’re going to pick up or pursue any of them,” Moore said.

“While they did really well and did good here, we feel in terms of going forward, the squad we’ve got now, we’re just working now to keep the whole group unity going.

“They did very well and obviously we’ll monitor them in terms of where they’re at and certainly for the summer.”

Former Birmingham City midfielder Jack Storer was another recent trialist.
