The Tigers, keen to bounce back from a 2-1 midweek home reversal at the hands of title rivals Tadcaster, found themselves behind in the fourth minute as Ged Dalton got between two defenders to tuck a shot past Jon Kennedy.

The home side continued to look menacing and might well had increased their lead. Worksop, though, began to get a foothold in the game, creating a good chance just before the interval - only for Kyle Jordan to put the ball over the crossbar from a couple of yards out.

However, Jordan made amends for the miss with the equaliser five minutes into the second half with a low drive from 22 yards into the bottom corner.

The Tigers then turned the game on its head, taking a 65 minute lead through Jordan Cooke’s bullet header.

Pickering though looked to have grabbed a share of the spoils when Matt Turnbull turned in a corner but in time added on, Sellars was brought down just outside the box and when the midfielder got to his feet, he curled a low free-kick around the wall into the far corner to earn the points.

Handsworth Parramore remain in third, just three points behind Worksop, after defeating battling Parkgate 4-3.
