Doncaster Rovers were dumped out of the FA Cup in the first round after suffering a 3-0 defeat against newly promoted National League side Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough Stadium.
Grant McCann made four changes from the team that ran out 4-1 winners at Rochdale in the EFL Trophy. Captain Owen Bailey and striker Alfie May returned to the lineup after scoring in midweek they replaced Darren Robinson and the injured Will Keane. Elsewhere, there was starts for both Jordan Thomas and Neill Byrne. They came in for Bayley McCann and Sean Grehan.
Doncaster Rovers went into the game as huge favourites but found themselves behind after just 22 minutes when in-form striker Lewis Walker fired the hosts ahead with a low driven effort just seconds after striking the post. Matters got worse in the 36th minute when the National League side deservedly doubled their advantage through Maziar Kouhyar’s strike from close distance, leaving many fans fearing a repeat of the Kings Lynn loss four years ago.
McCann made three changes at the break in an effort to change the game. The injured Harry Clifton was replaced by Isaac Hutchinson, Darren Robinson came in for Neill Byrne, and Leon Ayinde was brought on in place of Tom Nixon. However, the alterations did little to change an afternoon that belonged to a Kidderminster side.
The game was largely put to bed on the hour mark when Kidderminster skipper David Davis found the net for the hosts.
Here are our player ratings from the match at Aggborough Stadium.
13. SUB: Leon Ayinde - 5
Introduced at half-time to try and rejuvenate the team's hopes. Showed a desire to run at his defender but was more often than not running into opposition traffic. | Howard Roe AHPIX LTD 07973739229 [email protected]

14. SUB: Darren Robinson - 4
Introduced at half-time to try and improve a Rovers midfield that was constantly losing battles in the first 45. Worked hard but couldn't really change things in a match the opposition deserved to win. | Howard Roe
15. SUB: Hakeeb Adelakun - N/A
Was brought on to the pitch in the 72nd minute with Rovers already three goals down. Looked alright in the time he had on the pitch but didn't have long enough to make a real difference. | Howard Roe AHPIX LTD 07973739229 [email protected]
