The forward scored Rovers’ third goal in the 3-2 win over Walsall on Tuesday and played the full 90 minutes as part of what began as a three-man front line.

Chimalilo went on a mazy run into the box before rifling past Walsall keeper Jack Rose.

The teenager has made 14 appearances for Albion this season – playing as recently as Saturday – scoring six goals.

He emerged from i2i Academy – which also produced ex-Rovers player and his current team mate Alfie Beestin – before moving into senior football with Barton Town. Chimalilo then switched to Tadcaster at the start of this season.

He can play across midfield but is particularly effective in wide or attacking areas.

Much of his play on Tuesday involved him starting from a deeper-lying position to join in the attacks.
