We won’t be including any current players, as they still have time to prove themselves.
We’ll also only be including permanent transfers – loan players don’t count. Therefore, while the likes of Tiago Cukur and Emile Sinclair were undeniably below par, they won’t be featuring on this list.
5. 6. Aaron Taylor-Sinclair
Some may argue that Taylor-Sinclair should be higher up - in truth, he put in a few solid, if uninspired performances for Rovers (which is more than you can say for most in this list). It was his glaring mistakes, including a particularly bad one against Sheffield United, that made him such an unpopular figure in DN4. Photo: Bryn Lennon
6. 5. Dany N'Guessan
There aren't many players out there more bizarre than Dany N'Guessan. While he usually managed to make a nuisance of himself to opposition defences, his shooting was so spectacularly wayward that it didn't matter. He made just nine appearances for Rovers, scoring no goals. Photo: Tony Marshall
7. Ross Etheridge
Ross Etheridge was brought in to be Rovers' main goalkeeper during the 2016/17 season. By January, he had been demoted to third choice. Photo: -
8. 4. Abdul Razak
Abdul Razak arrived in Doncaster with plenty of hype from then-manager Paul Dickov. While he could execute fancy tricks and skills during the pre-match warm up, when the whistle blew, the concept of football seemed to escape him. He made just nine appearances and was released at the end of the same season he was signed in. Photo: AFP
