Doncaster Rovers to travel to League Two opposition in Carabao Cup

Doncaster Rovers face an away trip to Walsall in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Rovers were drawn against the League Two outfit, with ties set to take place the week commencing August 9.

It will be the first time ever that the two sides have met in knockout competition.

Rovers triumphed 4-1 on their last trip to the Bescott in September 2018.

Rovers exited the Carabao Cup in the first round stage last season after a narrow 3-2 defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
