Doncaster Rovers star linked with Championship move, Leeds United star set for permanent switch – League One and Two gossip
Doncaster Rovers are in action against the MK Dons on Saturday afternoon, as Darren Moore looks to guide his side up the table, with Rovers holding games in hand on a number of their rival teams. For now, enjoy today’s League One rumours.
Young Doncaster Rovers loanee Cameron John has been linked with a Championship move to Middlesbrough.
Teeside Live mention that the 20-year-old defender has been watched by Boro this season, with scouts from Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Leicester City also showing an interest.
John has suffered with injury problems this season, but the promising youngster is reaching the end of his contract with parent club Wolves, and the report speculates that Boro could make a move in January.
Losing John’s services would be a big blow for Rovers boss Darren Moore going into the second half of the season.
The report does state that Wolves are said to have an option to extend his contract by a further 12 months, which could change the situation if the Molineux club choose to do so.
