The 25-year-old is entering into his third week as a Rovers player and has so far made four appearances for the club.

The terms of an emergency loan states it can only be agreed on a one-week basis and requires that a fresh deal is completed each week for as long as both clubs wish it to continue.

Players signed on emergency loans must start any match they are available for, meaning Lumley will again be in goal for Saturday’s trip to Northampton Town.

Rovers hope to retain Lumley until January and have a tentative agreement with QPR to that fact.

In January Rovers will look for a more sustainable option to the goalkeeping position, which was impacted when Josef Bursik was recalled by Stoke City, leaving them with Louis Jones as the only senior option for the position.
