Here is how we rated Rovers' individual performances at The Valley. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
5. Reece James 8
He was involved in so much of Rovers’ attacking play before being withdrawn late on due to injury. James spent a lot of time in the Charlton half and linked up superbly with Jason Lokilo. Photo: AHPIX
6. Ben Whiteman 9
While Rovers lacked command in midfield a week earlier, they had it in abundance at The Valley and Whiteman was a large part of that. Always an option when Rovers were in possession, he dictated play superbly from the middle of the park and added vital cover as the full backs pushed forward. Photo: AHPIX
7. Madger Gomes 7
A little shaky in the early stages and did not provide enough presence. But he again popped up when it matters to net his third goal in four matches and change the complexion of the game. After that, he was a livewire himself, helping keep Rovers on the front foot and grew in comfort in blocking play. Photo: AHPIX
8. Jon Taylor 8
His impressive start to the season continued with another energetic and always threatening performance. He did his fair bit of tracking back also and covered well. But his attacking runs were very good and kept Charlton on the back foot. Photo: AHPIX
