5. Joseph Olowu 6
Caught out on the ball inside his own box, which led to the opening goal for Cambridge. Really struggled against the pace of Shilow Tracey all game and was a little cautious on the ball in his own half. Looked better on the ball when he got forward. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
6. John Bostock 4
Wanted far too much time on the ball in the first half, which made him easy pickings for the Cambridge press and stifled Rovers’ attempts to play through the thirds. He played very few progressive passes and slowed things down far too much. His hesitancy led to players being caught offside expecting balls forward that didn’t come until late. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
7. Matt Smith 7
A bundle of energy from start to finish. He took up spaces all across the pitch, pushed into the box and passed the ball really well. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
8. Rodrigo Vilca 6
Probably should have won the game for Rovers with his late volley. He looked better later in the game when pushed inside as Knoyle advanced. Photo: Doncaster Rovers FC
