Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the Keepmoat. Let us know what you think on Twitter @FreePressRovers.
5. Cameron John 8
He mopped up excellently in the first half, combining well with Butler to absorb pressure and prevent Oxford from converting attacks into chances. It continued after the break. He didn’t get much chance to get on the ball and push up the pitch, other than an excellent first time effort in the first half. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
6. Matt Smith 8
He is increasingly looking like the player at the centre of things for Rovers. His ball through for Taylor’s opening goal was sublime but there was also a demonstration of his tenacity, battling qualities and ability to help his side hold onto the ball. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
7. Madger Gomes 6
The Spanish midfielder lacked presence in the middle of the park on his first start since October as Rovers struggled to keep the ball in the first half. He grew into the game after the break but has been better. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
8. Jon Taylor 7
Took his goal superbly after racing onto Smith’s pass. He struggled to get on the ball as much as he would have liked but covered superbly in defence when required. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
