. Ellery Balcombe 6
Could do very little about the four goals he conceded as he was left woefully exposed by his defence. Pulled off a couple of decent saves to keep the score down and distributed well. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
. Joe Wright 5
Struggled defensively out of position up against vibrant, pacy attacking play from the visitors. Brought height and physicality to the position and was a useful target for long diagonals. Disappointingly lost his head later in the game. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
. Tom Anderson 6
Remained steadfast while all around him crumbled. He produced a couple of vital blocks to ensure the situation did not get any worse. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
. Cameron John 5
Looked very shaky at centre half and his confidence looks very low. He made several unforced errors with his passing that only increased the pressure. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
. Branden Horton 4
A very difficult afternoon for the youngster, who was taken off before the break. He was given a torrid time by Wigan’s fluid attack and struggled on the ball. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
. Matt Smith 5
Could not be faulted for his work rate and determination to make something happen for Rovers, to the extent he ran himself into an injury. Deserves better support around him. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
9. Jason Lokilo 5
Ran his socks off throughout the game but his end product was largely lacking. There is no doubting his work rate but his quality was not there. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
10. Josh Sims 4
Improved in the second half before he was subbed off but struggled to make any real impact on the game in the opening period. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
11. Omar Bogle 4
Another whose impact on the game was negligible. He largely struggled to get on the ball and bring others into play and failed to trouble the Wigan keeper. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
12. Taylor Richards 6
Looked much more like the Taylor Richards of all following his introduction. Strong, aggressive and willing to drive forward with the ball. He showed the bravery by taking the shot for his goal, which far too few of his team mates did. Photo: AHPIX Ltd
