It was not the sort of game where the Brighton loanee could get on the ball and show his passing quality - but he was still very, very good. It was his battling ability, close control and harrying that made him stand out. Had he not shown that superb engine, Rovers could have been even more overran than they were for long periods. A difficult debut for the youngster, who certainly grew into the game as it wore on. His pace was a handful in the first half but he put to better use in the second and played a major role in the Rovers goal. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
11. Tyreece John-Jules 7
A bit of a baptism of fire for the Arsenal striker on his debut, in a game where his side struggled for possession for long periods and he was up against an imposing back line. But he showed flashes of real quality and quick-thinking to suggest he will be a great acquisition for Rovers. He also has a great ability to win fouls, which will certainly come in handy. Lively after his introduction but did not get a real opportunity to threaten as much as would have liked. Photo: AHPIX
