Doncaster Rovers player ratings as they win Carabao Cup clash with Walsall from the spot

It took a penalty shootout to decide Doncaster Rovers’ Carabao Cup tie with Walsall – and some goalkeeping heroics sent them through.

Here is how we rated Rovers’ individual performances at the Banks’ Stadium. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter @FreePressRovers.

13. AJ Greaves 3

Sent off two minutes from time for a lunging tackle on Walsall's Jack Earing. The worst part was that it was entirely unnecessary with Earing in possession 20 yards from his own goal. A terrible decision from a player who has plenty to do to impress his manager. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD

14. Tiago Cukur n/a

Not as involved in the final third as he may have liked after his introduction in place of Bogle. Put his body about but saw little sign of goal. Photo: Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
