Doncaster had the better of the general play and created far more chances, but their opponents proved it’s about quality, not quantity as they ruthlessly put Rovers to the sword.
Salford striker Matt Smith helped himself to a hat-trick to leave Doncaster shell-shocked and curtail their recent progress.
