National League South side Maidstone United - where right back Seaman is currently plying his trade - have placed their contracted players on furlough in a bid to safeguard the future of the club.

They have pledged to fulfil upcoming fixtures using non-contract players and loanees, such as Seaman.

And Rovers boss Moore confirmed he is happy for the 21-year-old to remain with Maidstone, though he says that will be reviewed regularly.

“We’re happy to keep him there and we’ll monitor it closely,” Moore said.

“It’s something to look at and we are looking at that situation really closely in terms of how it’s developing there.”

Clubs in the National League have received no funding since the turn of the year after confusion over the conditions of money being offered by the government.

Clubs were expecting to receive funds in the form of grants but were later told they were in fact loans.

A vote over whether to play on or declare the season null and void is currently being undertaken by National League clubs with a deadline set for the end of the month.

Maidstone - which arose from the ashes of former league club Maidstone United following its bankruptcy in 1992 - are desperate to avoid any situation which will risk the future of the club.

Seaman has played regularly for Maidstone since joining on loan in early October, straight after agreeing a one-year deal with Rovers.

Moore says the purpose of the loan was to hand regular game time to the full back as well as keep him ready to slot in at Rovers should he need to be recalled.

“I think he’s doing really well,” Moore said.

“The reports are coming back and he’s been doing okay, he’s been consistent and steady.

“The important thing for us is that he’s match ready, he’s game ready and he’s good to go if anything was to change either down there or here.

“That is what we wanted from the spell.

“In terms of him as an individual, I’ve spoken to him and he’s fine.

“The big thing is that he’s been playing games, which is great for him.”
