Doncaster Rovers man hoping to give Crystal Palace's newest addition a torrid debut in FA Cup
Luke Molyneux is in superb form right now and is itching to test himself against Premier League opposition.
He'll get that chance when Doncaster Rovers welcome Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Molyneux has 17 goal contributions so far this season and is in the midst of a real purple patch with five goals in his last six outings.
There's a chance he could be up against Palace new boy Ben Chilwell on Monday night. Chilwell, aged 28, arrived at Selhurst Park on a loan arrangement after falling out of favour at Chelsea.
The left-back been starved of football this term - just 45 minutes in a League Cup game last September - but could be thrown in from the start at the Eco-Power Stadium.
If that's the case then Molyneux will be looking forward to pitting his wits against the 21-cap England man.
"I've played against him before, when I was younger and when he was at Leicester," Molyneux told the Free Press. "I knew then, even before he'd made it, how good a player he was and was going to be. He was rapid.
"Obviously he's been out alot with bad injuries so probably won't be up to full fitness yet but it'll be a good test to see where I'm really at.
"But whoever plays, they've got a really strong squad. They beat Man United the other week and with Mateta up top, they're a handful. We've just got to enjoy it."

This FA Cup weekend has so far failed to produce any shocks of note, despite Manchester City and Newcastle both surviving scares.
But Molyneux, who fully expects to shake off a rib complaint, says there is no reason why Rovers cannot pull off an upset on Monday. "Why not?", he adds "We've got nothing to lose so we might as well just go for it."
