Doncaster Rovers make contract decision on Jack Senior and two other players
Jack Senior has been offered a new contract by Doncaster Rovers, manager Grant McCann has confirmed to the Free Press.
Senior's current deal is due to expire at the end of this season and it was revealed recently that there was no option inserted into the arrangement. Senior, 29, has been in superb form this season and has made the left-back slot his own. "Jack's been offered a new contract so we're just in talks," McCann said.

He also confirmed that young goalkeepers Jacob Bryant and Jake Oram will also be offered new terms. The pair, like Senior, also do not have options inserted into their current contracts. He added: "Jake and Jacob, at some point, we'll sit down and offer them new contracts because we see them as two young, up-and-coming goalkeepers but we will still probably bring in two senior goalkeepers in the summer.
"We need to have conversations with a lot of the players and we’ll do that next week. Kyle Hurst is the other one (without an option) but all the others have options which we can trigger if we need, or now."
McCann's comments came a day after news emerged that veteran Billy Sharp would be leaving Rovers this summer.
The Northern Irishman heaped praise on the 40-year-old ahead of this weekend's home game with Stevenage: "I can't sing Billy's praises enough. Ever since he walked back in he's been absolutely outstanding. I wish him nothing but success for whatever he does next."
McCann confirmed Sharp is now fit again after a calf-related injury and that he is under consideration to potentially start against Alex Revell's side.
Other than Luke Molyneux (hernia), Rovers have no fresh injuries.
