Doncaster Rovers have been hit with a £2,500 fine after accepting a Football Association charge.

Rovers were charged along with hosts Shrewsbury Town for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion late in the game at the Montgomery Waters Meadow last month.

An scuffle between Rovers’ Madger Gomes and Callum Lang of the Shrews sparked a melee.

Rovers accepted the charge and were handed a £2,500 fine.

Shrewsbury requested a paper hearing and were fined £4,000.

Rovers boss Darren Moore pledged to remind his players of their responsibilities after the incident.
