Doncaster Rovers complete permanent signing of Jason Lokilo

The 21-year-old Belgian winger has signed a one-year deal with Rovers after impressing during his temporary spell last season.

Lokilo was released by Crystal Palace earlier this year.

He made one senior appearance for Rovers, grabbing an assist in the win over Wycombe Wanderers.

But his quest for regular appearances were hit when the season was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

By that time he had already impressed staff at Rovers with his work on the training ground and in appearances for the club’s U23s.

And he himself had spoken of his interest in perhaps joining Rovers permanently for the 2020/21 season.

Boss Darren Moore had also previously stated his desire to pursue a permanent deal and had made contact with Palace to enquire about Lokilo’s availability before his release.
