Moore has completed the majority of transfer business for this summer but is still keen to add more options to his squad.

And top of his list would be a central midfielder, along with a right back - with trialist Charlie Seaman currently mulling over a final offer of a contract from Rovers.

“I think looking at it, if I had to say one, I would say we would like a little bit more cover in the central zones, midfield zones,” Moore told the Free Press.

“That would probably be the stand out area at the minute.

“We’re looking at areas where we could possibly strengthen.”

Though he already has positions in mind where he would like to make additions ahead of the October 16 deadline, Moore says he will continue to assess his squad to decide whether other signings are required.

“At the moment it’s been a good period for me to look at the team and how we’re settling down and certain areas,” he said.

“While we maintain clear focus on the league, we can analyse the squad through the week and see where it is. It gives us that.

“At the moment, nothing is happening but in the secondary stages we are looking at the squad and where it’s at.”

With the fixture programme set to intensify in the next few weeks - including eight matches in 28 days in October - Moore is keen to have as many options at his disposal as possible.

But for now, he will continue to put his players through their paces in training to ensure they are in the best possible condition.

“We just continue to keep going, the players keep working, getting fitter, stronger and more robust - all those things we are trying to build at this stage of the season,” he said.

“The last couple of weeks we’ve had a few little strains and knocks which you’d expect but we’re going to continue to develop, nurture and work players into this season. We’re well into it.”
