Hide AdSchofield, who has now lost 12 of his 23 games in charge, winning nine, said: “I have got to take that criticism.
"If the team is not performing and not winning games, that’s part of my role.
"It’s disappointing because when you put so much work in to try and win football games and it doesn’t materialise it’s hard.
"I work hard and the staff work hard as well. I can understand the criticism.”

Hide AdDoncaster have averaged 1.32 points per game across the 22 league fixtures Schofield has overseen.
His predecessor, Gary McSheffrey, averaged 1.5 over 14 matches in League Two and 1.13 over his 46 total games in charge.
Schofield has been tasked with transforming the team’s style of play and has had just one transfer window to recruit his preferred players but rejected that as an excuse for yesterday’s defeat.
He said: “I have been in since October, so I have worked with the players a lot.

Doncaster now sit nine points off the League Two play-off places with 10 games to go.
Schofield said: "As long as we can mathematically do it that has got to be our focus.
"We need to dust ourselves down, assess this one quickly, and move on to Crawley which is probably a must-win game.”
