McCann was dismissed from the touchline by referee Ben Speedie after he stopped Tranmere from taking a quick throw-in when the ball came to him in the dugout at the end of the first half.

Hide AdThat meant he was forced to watch the rest of the game from the away dressing room and was not allowed to conduct his usual post-match interview.
Doncaster won the match 2-1.
McCann apologised for the incident and admitted to a misconduct charge issued by the Football Association on Tuesday.
He will not face further punishment, having already served a one-game touchline ban this season for receiving three yellow cards.

Hide AdWriting in his programme notes for last night’s visit of Salford City, McCann said he was not aware of the rule and added: "To be fair to the referee, he was sympathetic but said his hands were tied because of what the rules say."
