Bristol City are keen to get the highly-rated 20-year-old out on loan for experience in the second half of the season with Rovers reported to be among a clutch of teams interested in his services.

But Moore remained tight-lipped on the questions of whether the Robins had been approached over Semenyo.

“Everybody is after him aren’t they,” Moore said.

“I don’t think there is a League One or League Two club that’s not after him.

“If anything like that should come, I’ll let you know.

“But I’ve nothing to report on it.”

It had been reported that Moore had made a pitch to Semenyo to entice him to Rovers as he looks to build on a loan at Newport County last season which brought six goals in 32 appearances.

He has made nine appearances for Bristol City so far this season but has yet to net his first goal for the club.

Reports in the north east have suggested Sunderland are now the favourites to secure a loan deal for Semenyo.

The Northern Echo has suggested that the Black Cats are willing to cover all of Semenyo's wages during his stay while Rovers would only pay a percentage of his salary if he was to switch to the Keepmoat.

The report also suays Sunderland boss Phil Parkinson is keen to complete the deal ahead of their trip to MK Dons on Saturday.
