We’ve taken a look back over the past ten years and picked 11 of Rovers’ best loan signings during that time.
Let’s take a look at them...
5. 7. Seny Dieng
Seny Dieng was fantastic during his time in DN4. A well rounded goalkeeper with no apparent weaknesses, his parent club of QPR saw this and promoted him to their first team upon his return. Now, he's one of the Championship's best keepers. Photo: Lewis Storey
6. 6. Jacob Ramsey
Jacob Ramsey looked like a great prospect during his time in Donny - he's since proven his proponents right, as he continues to grow into a mature, Premier League-standard attacking midfielder. He only made seven appearances for Rovers (scoring three goals), but he certainly made an impact during his time. Photo: Marc Atkins
7. 5. John Lundstram
John Lundstram was the right signing at the right time. In 2012/13, Rovers' midfield was robust and gritty - but it lacked an energetic, technically sound box-to-box player to keep things moving. Lundstram provided this in spades - he was a crucial member of the team during the second half of the title-winning campaign. Photo: Paul Thomas
8. 4. Iain Hume
Iain Hume wasn't a prolific goalscorer for the Rovers - he only bagged seven goals in 36 games - but it was his heroic work rate that made him such a well-liked figure. He was necessary for preventing teams from building from the back, during a season where Donny would generally play very deep. Photo: SAJJAD HUSSAIN
