Doncaster Rovers Belles secure first league win of the season against Bedworth United

Doncaster Rovers Belles beat Bedworth United 4-1 in their first home game of the new FAWNL Division One Midlands season.

The game played out in a similar fashion to Doncaster Rovers’ 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers the previous day.

Kirsty Smith and Jasmine Saxton put Andy Butler’s side two up inside 20 minutes.

Kirsty Farnworth got Bedworth back into the game before half time but second half goals from Hannah McWilliams and Nadia Khan wrapped up the points for Doncaster.

A crowd of 203 were present at Rossington Main’s Oxford Street ground.

Belles have taken four points from their first two games following their opening day draw at Boldmere St Michaels. They travel to Lincoln City tomorrow.
