First meeting between sides since Bolton's controversial decision to cancel reverse fixture in August

  • Rovers looking to push on after draw with Rochdale on Saturday
  • ROVERS: Dieng; Halliday, Wright, Anderson, James (John 45); Whiteman, Sheaf; Sadlier, Coppinger (Ramsey 86), Ennis; Okenabirhie (Cole 73). Subs: Jones, Blair, Taylor, Watters.
  • BOLTON: Matthews, Emmanuel, Lowe, Hobbs (Mellis 59), L Murphy, D Murphy, O'Grady, Fleming, Bryan (Delaney 88), Hamilton, Dodoo. Subs: Alexander, Bunney, Faal, Graham.
  • Bolton have taken seven points from the last 39 available
  • GOAL: Okenabirhie (40), Ennis (48); Dodoo (57)

A really good attack from Rovers ends with a disappointing effort on goal. Ben Whiteman sprays the ball out to Brad Halliday, who feeds Kieran Sadlier on the right. Sadlier beats his man and crosses well with Fejiri Okenabirhie free in front of goal, only to send a tame header down which bounces into the hands of Remi Matthews.

And another chance built down the right through Brad Halliday and Kieran Sadlier. This time Sadlier beats his man and drills a low ball towards the back post which just flies wide. If any Rovers players had got a touch, it would have been a goal.

8.00 Not got going fully

Rovers have come to life in the last few minutes but overall it's been a bit disjointed and they're struggling to find their way through the Bolton lines.

8.07 Tough nut to crack

Bolton are doing a very good defensive job here. They're closing down the ball well but what is hampering Rovers the most is their work covering space. As they ball is carried into the Bolton half, the visitors have two bright green walls that Rovers are struggling to play through or around at the minute.

Kieran Sadlier - who has had the most success finding a way through Bolton so far - cuts inside from the right and curls narrowly over the bar from the corner of the box.

Rovers are caught at sixes and sevens at the back and Bolton almost strike. Joe Dodoo chips across goal with the ball dropping to Ethan Hamilton. He takes a touch and thrashes a shot which flies narrowly past the far post.

8.17 And close at the other end

Rovers attack quickly, with James Coppinger feeding Kieran Sadlier. He pushes the ball towards the back post, with Fejiri Okenabirhie but it's deflected behind for a corner.

From the subsequent corner, Ben Sheaf holds off his man at the near post and tries to backheel in, sending the ball narrowly over the bar.
