George Miller’s double either side of goals from Joseph Olowu and Kyle Hurst saw off the challenge of Crawley, who had cancelled out Rovers’ lead through James Tilley to make it 1-1 at half time.
The scoreline is also the biggest margin of victory Doncaster have enjoyed under Gary McSheffrey, who had been under pressure to get their season back on track after three straight defeats in League Two.
It was also the club’s biggest win since November 2020.

Made hard work off a few straightforward clearances and allowed James Tilley to get a shot off which led to the equaliser. Improved as the game wore on, in fairness. Photo: Andrew Roe/AHPIX LTD
6. Joseph Olowu - 8
Another solid display capped off with a goal and some great celebrations with the fans at full time. Was a constant threat from set pieces and strongmanned the ball over the line. Photo: HOWARD ROE, Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
7. Adam Clayton - 8
A dominant midfield display and much better than last week. Rightfully named MOTM after an influential display. Photo: HOWARD ROE, Howard Roe/AHPIX LTD
8. Ben Close - 7
Created a few openings with some neat footwork and distribution in another really encouraging display. Also put a shift in defensively. Can definitely improve this team. Photo: Howard Roe/ahpix.com
