That is the verdict of boss Darren Moore who says the left back is definitely on his radar for selection.

Reece James remains sidelined after suffering a severe laceration to his shin more than a fortnight ago.

So far Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Cameron John has filled the left back role, having exchanged the position with James over the previous month.

But Moore insists natural left back Amos has a strong opportunity to earn a call himself.

“Danny has got as good a chance as anybody,” Moore said.

“Danny has been in and around our first team. He’s got a wonderful chance.

“He’s got a better chance right now than he has all season in terms of coming back into it.

“He’s done well. Whenever he’s been called upon, Danny has stepped in and shown what he’s about.

“He’s always been in and around us. He’s trained with the first team so he’s just got to keep going.”

Northern Ireland age group international Amos has been among the substitutes since James’ injury, suffered against Bolton Wanderers on February 11.

The 20-year-old has started three games for the senior side this season - one in the FA Cup first round stalemate with AFC Wimbledon and twice in the Leasing.com Trophy.

He has not made a league appearance for Rovers since coming off the bench on the opening day of last season.
