Both countries had slow starts to Euro 2020 with each side having to wait until the final group game to register their first wins. Spain are firm favourites with the bookies at 3/5 with Croatia at 5/1 to win over the 90 minutes.

Croatia are 11/4 to qualify for the last 16 whether that’s a full time result, extra time or penalties with Spain 1/4 in the same market.

Spain are 15/2 to win the Euros outright. La Roja may not have the era-defining talent that won them back-to-back tournaments in 2008 and 2012 but they’re still undefeated thus far. Croatia are 66/1 but after Luka Modric’s performances against Scotland, other countries will be wary of what damage the Real Madrid talisman can do.

Alvaro Morata is the bookies’ tip to score at 5/4 anytime although that missed penalty against Slovakia will be playing on his mind. Pablo Sarabia has been one of the bright sparks of this Spain side and is 9/4. Ivan Perisic has been Croatia’s main attacking threat with two goals and one assist and has good odds at 9/2.

Best bets: Croatia were drawing at half time in both their games against England and Scotland during the group stages. Bookies are giving odds of 14/1 if they’re level in this tie at the halfway stage but then go on to win the second half.

Spain opened the floodgates against Slovakia and Luis Enrique will hope that has put an end to his side’s issues in front of goal. Spain to win with a total goals number of over 2.5 in the game is 13/8.
