Can Andy Butler convince James Coppinger into 'one more year'?
He acknowledged that the Doncaster Rovers legend appears to have made his mind up on retiring at the end of the season.
But Butler has not given up all hope on a possible U-turn from the 40-year-old.
"I don't know," replied Rovers' boss.
"Copps seems pretty sure on what he wants to do.

Hide Ad"Obviously I know every single fan would love him to stay on and I'm a fan of him myself.
"I got asked the question on Saturday what I think of Copps and I think it's evident what I think he brings to the squad and the team.
"So long may he continue doing it on the pitch and we'll take it from there.
"It's really speaking to Copps about that situation and seeing what he wants to do," he added.
"You've got to congratulate him on 600 league appearances for Doncaster Rovers. It's a fantastic achievement from a fantastic player and hopefully he can keep smashing records for Doncaster."
