Bucky's Blog: Rovers can take advantage of Blades negativity

This is a big game for both teams - and it is one Rovers in which can profit from.

Nigel Adkins is starting to come under some pressure.

I listen to the phone-ins after matches and the Sheffield United fans are all grumbling.

So I think it’s even more important than usual on Saturday to score the first goal, which we haven’t done often enough.

They are under pressure and not having the best of times. There’s going to be a big crowd at the Keepmoat so we need to get that stadium bouncing.

Goals set the tone for games and the crowd will turn against them if we go in front early on. We can have control. Stick your noses in front and dictate the tone.

We’ve also had a bit of a bad patch of late, probably the first one under Darren Ferguson.

We’re not in a terrible situation but we do need to go on a better run now to ensure we don’t drop into the relegation fight at the bottom.

The injury situation is looking up again now which I think is crucial.

We’ve missed the lads who have been out injured. Conor Grant coming back will provide the cutting edge we’ve lacked recently. We just move forward more, and more efficiently with Grant in there. He’s been superb for us.

Nathan Tyson is another one we’ve missed. His injury came at an unfortunate time as he’d just started to score goals. As a team you can see how we’ve started to score less since he’s been out of the picture, so his return is obviously a big boost.

Andy Butler will bring stability to the back and he’ll surely be especially motivated against his old club.

Another player who’ll be playing against his old club is Billy Sharp. He’s been banging the goals in this season.

There’s no doubt we’ve got to stop him if we want to take three points. But hopefully the Rovers defence will know all about him.
